Elderberry Fire Gypsy Brew Recipe
Use this elderberry herbal tea as a way to help lose weight or drink it to enjoy. This Elderberry Herbal Tea Gypsy Fire Brew has a great flavor. The warmth of hot tea coupled with the slightly spicy warmth of the chipotle is quite a surprise if you are not expecting it. A warmth that lingers for a second longer in your mouth. The benefits of the ingredients puts this tea in the category of a weight loss tea. Several studies have found that capsaicin in jalapenos (the chipotle) can boost metabolism by 4–5% per day, potentially making it easier to lose weight. The chipotle in the recipe is subtle, you won't actually taste jalapeno but you feel the heat of it and may notice a slight smoky flavor.
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Elderberries
- 1.5 cup Water
- 2 slices Fresh or 1/4 teaspoon Dried Ginger
- 2 Cloves Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Smoked Chipotle
In a small saucepan bring the ingredients to a boil. Turn the heat down and let it simmer for 5 minutes, strain out elderberry & spices. * Adjust chipotle to the desired burn level.
*** WARNING* Never make an elderberry herbal tea without boiling the dried elderberries first. Simply putting the elderberries in hot water without a proper boil may negate the elderberry herbal tea benefits by causing stomach distress. If your stomach is sensitive to spicy foods, this is not an elderberry herbal tea for you. Even though the spicy flavor is masked by the other ingredients, the burn is still there and may later cause gastric distress.
Very ink friendly. Each elderberry recipe will print in the upper right portion of paper. Keep flipping your paper in printer for each elderberry recipe you choose and you can get 4 elderberry recipes on one page (8 if printed on both sides) I recommend card stock paper for more durability. No heavy paper on hand, use an old file folder cut down to paper size!
