For adult taste buds try this elderberry wine jelly recipe! Wine flavored jelly with an extra elderberry kick. Think outside the box of jelly for breakfast only, this is an all day jelly. How about using this elderberry wine jelly recipe for crackers, bagels, inside pastries, or a virgin smoothie that doesn't taste like a virgin smoothie? All the alcohol is boiled out so it is kid safe. Children might decide they like the wine flavor though, so best not to share it.
Elderberry Wine Jelly
Prep Time - 5 minutes
Cooking Time - 35 minutes
Total Time - 40 minutes
Yield - 3 pints or 6 half pints
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 Cup Elderberry Wine
- 1/2 Cup Elderberry Juice
- 1 Box Pectin
- 4 1/2 Cup Sugar
Instructions Pre measure sugar. Bring wine, elderberry juice and pectin to a full rolling boil and boil for exactly 2 minutes. Add pre-measured sugar and return to full rolling boil. Remove from heat. Place in sterilized jars. Process in hot water bath for 5 minutes for 1000 feet. Add 1 minute for each additional 1000 feet of altitude.
